With their line up now officially including the legendary Johnny Marr, Modest Mouse hit our very welcoming shores in 2008 as a wonderful addition to the V Festival line up, as well as gracing the stage at their own headlining shows.

Modest Mouse live are a revelation renowned by fans and critics alike.  With international acclaim following both their live performances and the release of their latest album, “We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank”, Modest Mouse provide an unforgettable ride.

First breaking into the collective consciousness of music connoisseurs with the release of “Good News For People Who Love Bad News”, Modest Mouse recaptured that essence on “We Were Dead...” With the continued Dennis Herring collaboration in the recording studio.

The added guitar chops of Johnny Marr will make this a must see for 2008.

Five acclaimed releases over seven years of non-stop touring has witnessed the rapid and steady ascent of this infectious, hook laden four piece, from indie synth-punk hopefuls to unrivalled gladiators of majestic pop. Their most recent release (and Triple J feature album) “Happiness LTD.” has a sound described by the band as "drastically different, unpredictable... yet somehow maintains an overall timelessness". This will be their first visit to Australian shores in three years.
