The Eco Kids Festival

SUNDAY 13 SEPTEMBER
WITH DOROTHY THE DINOSAUR

Presented by OCTOBER SUN

The Eco Kids Festival

As the planet heats and weather patterns continue to intensify alarming and catastrophic news reports fill our media, our conversations and more increasingly our daily lives.

As difficult as this issue is for adults to comprehend, children are also beginning to show similar signs of fear, anxiety, frustration, anger and despair related to this complex issue.

Now, more than ever, it is vital for children to not only learn about the natural world they live within but to also learn the valuable tools needed to address this difficult situation head on.

Many solutions exist, and many of them are very simple, indeed children are often reported to be better at getting going with environmental solutions than the adults are, but gaining access to these solutions is not always easy.

Hence the Eco Kids Festival was created.

The Eco Kids Festival, taking place at Sydney’s Luna Park on Sunday 13th September, has been designed to allow a single point of access, over a single day, to a wealth of information on living sustainably both for children and their parents.

The Eco-Kids Festival has been designed to allow the children attending the unique opportunity to gain access to the latest in green technologies, techniques and ideas and experience them first hand, whilst still enjoying an incredible day of entertainment.

The Festival will feature a vast array of sustainable initiatives which will not only be on display but will also be incorporated into every facet of the running of the event.

Featured will be eco-workshops on everything from worm-farming to renewable energy, organic food stalls, recycled arts and crafts, sustainability experts to answer all of those tricky questions, interactive eco-gadgets and displays, roving performers and some of Australia’s best children’s entertainment including Wiggles mascot Dorothy the Dinosaur.

The Eco-Kids Festival is a fantastic way for children to learn how they can be part of the growing movement towards living sustainably in a relaxed, fun and safe atmosphere.

The Eco Kids Festival is an October Sun Event www.octobersun.com.au
